Model No : 175 Watt Xbox 360 Power Supply
Your Xbox 360 relies on an external power supply to get its juice. A defective or damaged power supply can result in power shutting down during the last stages of a boss fight, or worse yet your Xbox 360 not turning on at all. Luckily, the Console Doctor can help by supplying you quickly with a replacement 175 Watt power supply.
The 175W power supply works with most Xbox 360 consoles. Not sure which power supply you need? Use this handy guide to check. If you still are not sure which power supply to use, your best bet is the 203 Watt power supply which is compatible with all Xbox 360 models except for the Xbox 360 slim.
The 175W replacement power supply uses a direct current (DC) power cord to connect the power supply brick with your Xbox 360 console. This power cord is 1.1 meters long or approximately 3 feet, six inches long. The power supply brick then connects to your wall socket using an AC adapter power cord, which is 1.8 meters long (approximately 5 feet, 9 inches). It is best to plug your replacement power supply into a wall socket rather than a power bar to keep it from overheating.
The power supply brick includes an internal fuse and an internal fan. The internal fan keeps your power supply cool during long gaming sessions, and produces a soft humming sound to let you know it is doing its job. For best function, keep your 175 watt power supply in an area with good airflow, and refrain from putting it in an enclosed space such as a shelf or near other hot electronics.
The internal fuse of the 175 watt power supply keeps your Xbox 360 and power supply safe from power surges of up to 280 watts and excessive wattage of up to 245 watts of continuous use. The 175W replacement power supply use American standard input and output, and you should thoroughly check before using in another country as they could have different power specifications resulting in a damaged Xbox 360 or power supply. Please note that the 175 watt power supply is for use with original Xbox 360s, and not the Xbox 360 slim version.
